Small Mammals of the Rensselaer Plateau
Grafton – The Dyken Pond Center and Dr. Roland Kays are offering a special opportunity to get up-close and personal with some of the small mammals of the Rensselaer Plateau. Join Dr. Kays for an early morning, one-mile walk to check out live traps that were set the night before. We’ll see a variety of small mammals, and learn about their habits and habitats. This is an all ages’ program. The program is free and pre-registration is required as space is limited.

Back yard Foraging - Wild Edible Plants with Sean Rowe
Students in this intensive course will learn the basics of the art of foraging and wild edible food preparation. There are three weekends scheduled, each one will focus on different, seasonal plants. Saturday’s programs will cover identification basics and harvesting techniques. Classes on Sundays will be in-depth preparation techniques. Sign up for one class or sign up for the series.

Fee: Saturday: $15, $14 members - Sunday: $20, $ 18 members
